As a mom of a little girl, I consider it my duty to instill in my daughter the I CAN DO IT attitude. Just about every day, I am telling Ruby that she can do it, whether it is reading that advanced level book, drawing something new, participating in a new sport, you name it. As girls (and women) we are often looked at as secondary creatures that can only accomplish “girls stuff”. I just refuse to accept that! I encourage my daughter to do whatever it is that she is interested in doing, with no apologies.
I’m thrilled to share the inspiring #GirlsCan campaign from CoverGirl. It promotes the empowerment of women by encouraging them to break down barriers and turn can’t into can.
CoverGirl is donating $50,000 to Dress for Success® and you can support #GirlsCan by purchasing the CoverGirl #GirlsCan Mascaras at Walmart. Two varieties available: CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara and CoverGirl Professional All-in-One Mascara.
I like to think I am living the #GirlsCan message since I am a stay-at-home mom that also earns an income doing the things I love. I think the perception is that you can either be a SAHM OR go to work every day to earn an income. I am so proud that I am outside of that box, a girl living my dream! I have more than one at-home business and brainstorming new ideas daily. I am my own boss and able to be there for my kids every single day. I thank my lucky stars for all of these blessings. I will continue tell my daughter that #GirlsCan, no matter what.
My look above includes my favorite eyeshadow palette and lipstick from CoverGirl as well as the CoverGirl Professional All-in-One Mascara.

Yes, #GirlsCan is a great promotion! A friend and I were just talking about this subject the other night with a man who believed that there were almost no barriers left for women and girls. As if. Love your hair, BTW! Did you cut it?

My #GirlsCan moment came when I discovered that I was good at science subjects.
I am so glad things are changing! My niece has a young daughter on a sport team of all boys except for her and that never happened when I was young.
