Liner lovers rejoice! BareMinerals has released two limited edition eyeliner sets as part of their 2014 Holiday Collection. Afternoon Delights (for daytime) and I Love the Nightlife (for the evening) both contain 5 eyeliners (4 of each being exclusive to the boxes.)
These are twist up style liners and they each contain a special mini built-in sharpener and smudging tool in the end! This is a great feature to have in a twist up eyeliner because they usually quickly become dull and don’t fit in a standard sharpener.
These were slightly on the dry side, and with them being thin I had the tips break off of a few of them when I first used them. However, once the tip broke I found it easier to push down to make a nice line. They all dried quickly and stayed put all day without smudging or transferring. They aren’t the most pigmented liners I’ve seen, but they give a nice soft look and you get a lot of liner for your buck!
Afternoon Delights:
Afternoon Delights is the “daytime” set but it all depends on what colors you prefer to wear, because these warm shades could certainly be used at night!
This Collection Includes:
- Eternal Bronze (permanent shade)- a medium matte chocolate brown
- Perpetual Plum- a soft matte plum
- Immortal Emerald- a shimmering medium green
- Stay Golden- a metallic bright gold (this color is gorgeous!)
- Timeless Taupe- a soft shimmering taupe
I Love the Nightlife:
I Love the Nightlife contains more cool shades that would be perfect for a night out on the town!
This Collection Includes:
- Absolute Black (permanent shade)- a medium matte black
- Certainly Sterling- a metallic silver
- True Blue- a shimmering bright turquoise
- Steadfast Slate- a shimmering steel grey
- Constant Copper- a warm shimmering copper
Overall I am happy with the value and the colors offered in these sets, they would make a perfect stocking stuffer! They are $29 each, but a single liner retails for $16 so you are really getting a heck of a deal! You can also find these at Ulta.
