Hello Kitty Mineral Sunscreen from Australian Gold - My Highest Self

Hello Kitty Mineral Sunscreen from Australian Gold

Being outside with the kids daily in the Summer means slathering on the sunscreen multiple times a day.  Both my kids are in the routine now but it’s still a bit of a chore for them.  It definitely helps to add a fun element to applying sunscreen.  Hello Kitty is one of my daughter’s favorite characters and I just knew we had to give the Hello Kitty Mineral Sunscreen a try!  A colorful bottle and a Summer Berry scent…I’m thinking YES :).

Mineral suncreens use mineral active ingredients instead of chemicals to absorb the UVA/UVB.  The mineral active ingredients in the Hello Kitty sunscreens are Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide.  Two major ingredients in these sunscreens include Yomogi Extract, a Japanese “wonder herb” which helps to reduce sun damage; and Butterfly Bush Extract, a native Chines shrub known for its ability to help protect against damaging UV rays.

Australian Gold Hello Kitty Sunscreen

Australian Gold Hello Kitty Mineral Sunscreen Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 has a medium consistency, not too thick and not watery.  It does dry pretty quickly and does not leave skin greasy or shiny.  The best part of this sunscreen (besides the cute packaging) is the Summer Berry scent!  It has a scent similar to raspberries and strawberries.  Both my kids loved it.  I must also confess that I have used this one for myself quite a bit over the past few weeks ;).  Hello Kitty is one of mama’s favorites too!

Australian Gold Hello Kitty Mineral Faces Sunscreen Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is a bit thicker but is the perfect companion to the SPF 30 for body.  This one is fragrance-free.

If you are looking to add a bit of whimsy to your day with the kids (or just for you!), give these a try!  A smile never hurt anyone :).
