How to Help Your Kids Bounce Back from Illness - My Highest Self

How to Help Your Kids Bounce Back from Illness

This post is brought to you by DiaResQ and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

As a mom, one of the most difficult challenges is when one (or all!) of your kids gets sick.  It’s something that’s usually so far out of your control as a parent. Am I the only mom who likes to have everything “under control” at all times?  Yep, that’s mom life…we try our best but it’s just not realistic. Our kids are going to get ill and then we get into nurse-mode immediately.

I can remember when my kids were babies and everything was happening for the first time.  I didn’t know which remedy worked for what and it was such a hectic time. I’m thankful to be past those nerve-wracking years and now have the knowledge and experience to help my kids with no sweat.  With cold and flu season upon us, your kids can get sick at the drop of a hat. I have several go-to essentials for helping my kids bounce back from being sick. I load them up with the right amount of blankets and pillows, chicken soup, plenty of water, and medicine to keep a fever down.  My secret weapon is the cold washcloth on the forehead. It’s magical, I tell you! Diarrhea is a symptom that often comes along with sickness this time of year and DiaResQ® is the newest addition to my “get better” mom arsenal.  I love that DiaResQ is drug and antibiotic-free, a food made from safe, naturally-derived ingredients.

natural diarrhea reliefHow Does DiaResQ Work?

Diarrhea is the body’s natural immune response to try and remove an invading microorganism, and some other products work by slowing that response (and trapping that organism in your body). DiaResQ is different – it works with your body to address the underlying issue fast.  DiaResQ has been clinically demonstrated to resolve most cases of diarrhea on day 1 of use.  DiaResQ is safe for adults and children as young as one year of age.

Did you know that the average American child experiences 7-15 episodes of diarrhea by age five?  I am not ready to let diarrhea get in the way of our family’s daily life! DiaResQ is so simple to use.  The vanilla flavored powder comes in small packets and easily mixes with water. Just add water, shake and drink!

This year the illness season seems to be starting earlier than most years. Usually we get hit around January – February. This year we have all already been down for the count.

I love having all natural weapons in my medicine box. Diarrhea can be so dangerous if it gets out of control.

Yes, that happened to me the last time I got sick as well. It took about two weeks to fully recover, it can be rough.
