Review: Murad Renewing Cleansing Oil - My Highest Self

Review: Murad Renewing Cleansing Oil

When I wear a full face of makeup, my facial cleansing routine usually goes up about two notches. I need to make sure I am removing all of the makeup. That process can be harsh on skin on a daily basis. Murad Renewing Cleansing Oil has been a more gentle cleansing solution in situations like this.

Murad Renewing Cleansing Oil Review

Murad Renewing Cleansing Oil sets out to “gently remove impurities, irritants and makeup” and to “ease dryness and restore suppleness”. Jojoba and Licorice are included in the ingredients and help to improve dry skin.  Sweet Almond Oil aids in soothing and softening skin.

With full face of makeup to remove, I dispense a liberal amount of cleansing oil in lightly damp hands and gently massage onto my face.  Safe to use on eyes, I can gently rub the oil to remove eye makeup and mascara as well.  Murad Renewing Cleansing Oil has the lightest fragrance, it’s quite soothing.  I can remove my makeup without the scrubb-athon that usually occurs when I use other cleansers.  My face is left soft and smooth afterwards.  I should note that I have oily skin and I still like to use this cleansing oil and do not feel oily afterwards.  I think the key for me was to rinse very well with warm water, patting my face with a warm cloth as the last step.  It’s such a nice change, especially in these colder months, to have my skin feel moisturized after cleansing.

Available at Sephora, $32.

Yes, this has been nice for my oily skin that turns combo in winter!

Just like the previous commenter, I also love using Dermalogica pre-cleansing oil, it works like magic to dissolve my makeup. I wish L’Occitane didn’t discontinue my favorite Almond face cleansing oil, it was my HG for years :((

Oh I hate when your favorites get discontinued! Give Murad a try, great ingredients, nice scent, and works well.

I definitely need to stick to gentle cleansers. With my combo skin, anything too harsh can really leave it in a dry and tattered state! This sounds like it would suit my skin fine!
