I’ve always loved a good face mask. I believe it is a skincare step that can often make or break the state of your skin if you use the right products. I think first you have to know your skin. My skin has always been oily and acne prone but as I age there are certainly other issues that factor in. A main component of my skincare routine is always a good clay or mud mask. This past month, I had the chance to test out two masks that are great for my skin type. The NU SKIN Epoch Glacial Marine Mud Mask and NU SKIN Clay Pack Deep Cleansing Masque have been sharing the spotlight for a while now.
The NU SKIN Epoch Glacial Marine Mask uses an extremely fine-grained mud from the Pacific Northwest to help remove dead skin cells and impurities. The mask has a thin consistency and is quite easy to slather a generous layer on the face. I leave it on for about 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. I like the soft feel of my skin and I know that the glacial marine mud helps clear away all the gunk that can have my face looking dull. This mask is great for mornings about once a week!
The NU SKIN Clay Pack Deep Cleansing Masque uses Kaolin Clay the deep clean the pores. This mask is a bit thicker and I tend to target my t-zone with this one. I leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse with warm water after. I just love the way my skin feels after this mask, I can tell my pores are more clear when it feels like my skin can breathe again! I would say this one is my favorite of the two and I love this for a Sunday night spa ritual.
I partnered with a NU SKIN distributor to bring you this post, all opinions are my own.

For a routine, I use moisturizer with sunscreen every single day. I do a mask three times a week and a glycolic acid serum at night. I don’t do to much because my skin becomes irritated easily which is why I use masks so much to calm my skin and help keep it balanced.
They both sound like great masks for those with oilier or combo skin unlike my desert dry skin.

I don’t have a skincare routine. I use dove soap on my face once a day during my shower. One thing I can’t go without though is moisturizer in the winter.
I’m trying desperately to start a skin care routine! Mine is just moisturizer and removing makeup at night (if I’m lucky).
My skincare tip is to use coconut oil as a makeup remover. If you don’t have it and really really need to remove eye makeup without micellar water – contact lens solution works just as fine!
That clay mask sounds like it’s right up my alley. Anything to tackle those pores!
