Review: Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing Shampoo, Conditioner, Light Oil Spray - My Highest Self

Review: Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing Shampoo, Conditioner, Light Oil Spray

This time last year, I fell in love with a new shampoo, conditioner, and styling oil from Suave (full review).  I still use the styling oil almost every day!  One year later, I am lucky to have three more Suave products to share.  Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing Shampoo, Conditioner and Light Oil Spray include Macadamia Oil and White Orchid for hydration.  The line contains NO parabens and NO dyes.

I can report that both the Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner are very moisturizing and make my hair soft. The only thing is, the next day my hair feels a little heavy and somewhat greasy. With this duo I would need to shampoo every day instead of skipping a day like I usually do. Both are a nice consistency, not too thick or thin and have a very nice scent on the “warm” side.

Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing Light Oil Spray is meant to be sprayed on damp or dry hair for a more moisturized look.  Funny story.  On the first use of this product I followed the instructions and used it on damp hair, spraying sections twice each from mid-length to ends.  I blow-dryed my hair and went about my business.  About an hour later I was ready to walk back into my bathroom wearing socks.  Literally, as ONE TOE hit the tile floor I knew I was a goner.  All the oil spritzing had left a residue on my bathroom floor…I fell FLAT on my back.  Needless to say, on next use I did not spritz as much oil and I was very careful to wipe down the floor after.  That being said I do like this much more on dry hair, I just give a spray and it adds nice shine.

Overall, I like the new Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing products but I have to use the shampoo and conditioner daily, which is not the best.  With my color-treated hair I like to skip a day on shampoo to preserve my color.   The Moisturizing Light Oil Spray is a nice addition to my hair care products but I still love my Suave Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil for daily use.  As always, the price on Suave products is very inexpensive.  Also available: Suave Natural Infusion Anti-Breakage line with Awapuhi Ginger & Honeysuckle and All Day Body line with Seaweed & Lotus Blossom.

Available at mass retailers, select drugstores and supermarkets, $2.74 – $5.98.

Product received from PR for editorial consideration, all opinions expressed are my own.

Have you seen the Natural Infusion line in stores yet? Will you try any of the new products?

My aunt used to cash in her rebates for Suave shampoo when I was really little so we always had a ton of Suave around. It never made my hair feel good, but I love using it for shaving!

I could see myself falling after spraying oil. No fun! I’m a big fan of washing every 5 to 7 days, so I can’t imagine washing daily. It would drive me crazy.

I have these and while I love the shampoo and conditioner, I’m very disappointed that the oil spray is largely mineral oil. I don’t like to put mineral oil on my body.

I get that, too, from spray oils! lol. I couldn’t figure out why the calendar I keep on my door kept getting these wet spots all over it. I figured my husband was getting too aggressive washing his face or something! lol – it was my spray oil. DERP. I want to try these Suave products! My hair needs extra moisture.

Unfortunately, the shampoo contains sulfates that make my already fine hair appear even finer, so I try to limit sulfate exposure to just 1 day a week (for clarifying), and normally just use all those numerous shampoo samples I’ve accumulated over the years.

I do not ever advise this product to anyone. Pureology. I think not!!! More like massive hair loss in a month !!!! Sorry I can’t post the pictures. Sally, I am so sorry to read about this situation! I had never heard of shampoo causing hair loss so of course I had to Google it. I found some great information on why this might happen:http://blog.aarp.org/2014/02/11/is-your-shampoo-causing-hair-loss-try-these-tips-from-a-specialist/ . It also shares ingredients to avoid if this happened to you and even a few product recommendations. Again, I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope you get back on track with the right product. I also hope you contact the company by using the phone number provided on the bottle. They need to know.

Great review! I too like to skip a day or even two to maintain my easy-to-fade red hair. So I will pass on these. But nice to see that Suave has come out with a real naturals line. I adore the scents in their products. Haven’t tried oil on my hair yet but I should. Love the story about the floor, glad you’re OK
