The Viva® Vantage® 7-Day Switch Up – My Tips and Tricks

Last week, I had the chance to attend a Viva® Vantage® home party with a great group of bloggers to get familiar with their paper towels.  Viva® Vantage® is sponsoring this post but I am thrilled to share my thoughts, tips and tricks after my “7-Day Switch Up” (switching my usual brand for Viva® Vantage®).Viva Vantage Towels

Viva® Vantage® paper towels are not your typical paper towel.  These towels have stretchy-strength to do way more than pick up a quick spill and have recently been named a 2015 Product of the Year.  The revolutionary V-Flex™ Weave helps them to go beyond the simple jobs.  At the Viva® Vantage® event, our host shared a few ways that she used these towels beyond the standard.  She actually stuffed her wet running shoes with Viva® Vantage® and they were great at drying them right up!  She also likes to use a wet Viva® Vantage® towel wrapped around her favorite bottled beverage to do a quick chill.

After our host shared a few things she learned from her 7-Day Switch Up, we split up into two groups and had a little fun.  My group went downstairs to decorate wine glasses.  Before we started decorating, we used Viva® Vantage® towels to dry our glasses and get a sparkling finish.  This is where that cloth-like texture really comes in handy!  We did a few photo booth snaps, chatted and then we were off to more activities.

Next we learned that Viva® Vantage® towels are strong and stretchy enough to use like a colander to rinse fruits and veggies under the faucet!  We even used the towels to wash AND dry apples before we made caramel apples.  By this time I was quite impressed at what these towels had done so far.  As a mom, I’m always looking for a multi-use product that makes my work in the kitchen easier.

Upon returning home, I started my 7-Day Switch Up with Viva® Vantage®.  I used these towels for a ton of things during these past few days. Here are some of my tips, trick and favorite uses!

How to Use Viva Vantage Towels

Lunchboxes:  I make school lunches for the kids every day and that includes an ice pack.  When the lunch bag comes back, it’s usually all wet inside from the ice pack.  I thought I would try wrapping a Viva® Vantage® towel around the ice pack to absorb the moisture.  I just used a half sheet for each pack.  It worked really well and the lunch bag came back dry as a bone from the sponge-like absorbency.  Woohoo!   I would say this is my favorite switch-up trick from this week.  I even included a Viva® Vantage® towel (quarter of a sheet) on top to use as a napkin.

Using Viva Vantage at Home

Coffeepot:  If you know me at all, you know coffee is a BIG part of my life.  We have a drip coffee maker,a single cup maker, and a couple more devices.  Our drip coffee maker sits on the counter and is not easy to move around when we need to add the water, grounds, etc.  We are frequently wiping up spills that happen each time we pour water in.  I decided to put a Viva® Vantage®  towel under the coffee maker and now it slides around with ease and absorbs any water spills.  Yay!

Use Viva Vantage in Crisper Drawer

Crisper Drawers:  Our crisper drawers in our refrigerator get a lot of use.  My kids have always been crazy over fruit as snacks so they are in and out of the drawer constantly.  The only problem is that our very old fridge has developed a drip of water in the back that drops down into the drawers, defeating the purpose of “crisper”.  I tried lining the drawers with a Viva® Vantage® towel and it took care of the issue, perfectly absorbing any water and keeping fruit dry.  I have to say it looks neat and clean, too!

Washing and Drying Apples:  Like I said, my kids are crazy for fruit and apples top the list.  I am washing, drying, and cutting apples each and every day for snacks and lunches.  I use these strong and stretchy towels to both wash and dry my apples and they are so convenient.  I can wet a towel, wash, then wring it out and use it to dry.   The towels stretch to scrub and did not rip or disintegrate like my old paper towel would in that situation.  Of course, this works just as well on other fruits and veggies (try it on potatoes!).Viva Vantage Strong Stretchy Towels

Besides some of my favorite switch-ups listed above, I have tested the great scrubbing power of these towels in my kitchen and they work wonders on our counters and glass-top stove.  Honestly, my usual paper towel brand would not stand a chance scrubbing my stove.  I keep Viva® Vantage® towels on hand when I am chopping, preparing, and cooking meals and they make clean-up a breeze.  I have used half sheets of Viva® Vantage® towels as coasters in a pinch.  I never have to worry about the moisture getting to my table.  I’ve tried wrapping a wet Viva® Vantage® towel around my favorite vodka and it does work as a quick-chill method for  cocktail night.

It was such a fun time at the Viva® Vantage® in-home party and I was just thrilled to discover these towels.  I’m sure glad I did the 7-Day Switch Up.  I have found so many uses for these towels and they definitely outperform my regular brand!  Take part in your own 7-Day Switch Up by visiting the Viva® Vantage® site to grab a coupon to purchase and try these towels.  After your switch up, you can go back to the site and “dish on your switch” to enter to win a $100 gift card!

My granddaughter uses a sheet to wrap around her ice pack for her ‘pretend’ boo boos, lol. It keeps her hands from getting too cold.
